The SMAS Worksafe assessment itself looks to ensure that contractors have (and use) an effective H&S Management System to ensure that any work they are engaged in is, so far as reasonably practical, carried out without risk to health and safety. The application process has been designed to make its completion as straightforward as possible and a dedicated in-house team of qualified H&S assessors are available by telephone to guide contractors through the assessment process if required.

By successfully completing the SMAS assessment the contractor gets the SMAS Worksafe certificate allowing them to quickly show that they meet their legal requirement to demonstrate their competence to existing and potential clients. They are also included on both the national SSIP and SMAS database meaning they are visible to the procurement teams of all of our clients who use the database to search for new contractors.

The SMAS client list currently includes many leading house builders and construction companies such as Persimmon, Redrow Homes, Miller Homes and Midas and the list is growing daily as organisations look to drive down costs and drive up the efficiency and professionalism of their assessment process.
