Smas Worksafe are excited to announce our latest partnership with Greenbelt Group.

For nearly 30 years, Greenbelt Group have been market leaders in the management and protection of Public Open Space (POS) in new UK housing developments. Managing over 700 housing estates, Greenbelt Group use innovative technology to assist in the maintenance of hedges, woodland, shrubs, and grass, and the development of play areas, sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDs), and infrastructure including paths, fences, and signs.  

To stay compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) regulations 2015, and continue improving their risk management practices, Greenbelt Group have chosen Smas Worksafe as their certification provider of choice.  

This means that, from 17 July 2026, all contractors and tradespeople wishing to work with Greenbelt Group will need to gain Worksafe Plus ceritfication. This will certify them to the level of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP), with additional assessment of their:  

  • Environmental Management  
  • Quality Management  
  • Financial and Business Standing  
  • And Corporate and Professional Standing  

Worksafe Plus also contains optional additional modules which cover the Building Safety Act Strands A and B, and ESG measures.
