Your Worksafe Plus questions answered
Check out our frequently asked questions below, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there’s something we’ve not answered, or if you have any further queries.
If you’ve been asked to get certified with our Worksafe Plus package, it’s because the client you’re working with wants all their suppliers to meet the same recognised Health & Safety standard. Worksafe Plus goes beyond SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). It also includes areas like:
- Quality Management
- Financial and Business Standing
- Corporate & Professional Standing
- Environmental Management
- Anti-Slavery, -Bribery, and –Corruption evaluation
Our Worksafe Plus package will get you Health & Safety certified with SSIP + The Smas Standard. Simply note down your details in the form above, and we’ll be in touch. Once the process begins, you’ll be required to show evidence that you meet both the SSIP Core Criteria and the additional areas listed in the question above. Don’t worry – we’ll be there to help you every step of the way.
Your Worksafe Plus certification will last for 12 months before you need to renew it. We currently have a 95% renewal rate, and we’ll be there to help with the process however we can.
We work with organisations across the UK to help them assess, monitor, and improve their supply chains – ensuring contractors and suppliers meet the right standards. From Health & Safety to environmental and quality assurance, we simplify compliance and reduce risk to help build safer and more responsible supply chains.
If you’re already certified with another provider, we offer a Deem to Satisfy (DTS) package. This passports you over from your existing provider to Smas, as long as everything is in order with your current certificate. You can find out more about DTS here. If you’re working with CPS Building Services, you can get DTS for free. This means you’ll be certified at a Worksafe level. You’ll then have to pay to upgrade from Worksafe to Worksafe Plus.
