Increase Your Company’s Visibility
When your company is awarded SMAS Worksafe accreditation, this also means that you’re included on the SMAS Contractor portal, and your company’s visibility to large UK housebuilders is significantly increased. This is because many large housebuilders are registered to use the SMAS Contractor portal to find and manage the suppliers they choose to work with.
The main reason for this is that they can be assured that if a contractor holds a valid SMAS Worksafe certificate then it demonstrates sufficient H&S practises to meet their own regulatory obligations. This assurance is relied on by many of the organisations we work with to award contracts to potential suppliers.
If your company has held a SMAS Worksafe certificate in the past, then you will remain on our database. Your record however will be listed as ‘currently not approved’ with SMAS Worksafe. This may affect whether the organisations who use our portal consider you as a supplier for upcoming projects. They would typically expect you to attain SSiP certification and renew your registration with SMAS before carrying out any work on their behalf.
