Leading SSIP scheme SMAS Worksafe, are excited to announce the appointment of Marcus Rose as Director of Technical Services.
Marcus formerly held the role of Technical Manager where he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the in-house Assessment team at SMAS Worksafe. Upon his promotion to Director level, his responsibilities will extend to the managing the standard applied across PAS91: Preferred Supplier additional question sets including areas such as Environmental and Quality Management which he was instrumental in developing and launching, as well as assessing the current marketplace and ensuring our product range is up-to-date and meets both the changing demands of both industry and regulators.
Having worked within SMAS Worksafe for the last five years, Marcus brings a wealth of technical knowledge to the internal board, including a master’s degree in Environmental and Human Health, a first-class bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resource Management as well as numerous NEBOSH certificates. Before his time in the industry, Marcus served five operational tours with the Royal Marines from 2001 through to 2010.
