David Bennett, Beal Homes’ Commercial Manager, spoke to us about why they decided to partner with Smas:
“Firstly, we’d like all our contractors to be SSIP certified, because Beal Homes are firmly committed to Health & Safety. It’s a core requirement of our business. Smas has been chosen as our SSIP scheme because of their simple and functional portal and database, which will take over from our current Excel documents and SharePoint folders.
“Our dedicated Smas account manager will chase subcontractors and ensure their information is always up to date for our records. The portal will measure and monitor the compliance of our subcontractors and hopefully save us a lot of time as a principal contractor.
“We hope the Smas database will also help our search for accredited contractors, who we can add to our tender database.”
