Welcoming Highwood Group as a Smas Worksafe Client
We’re delighted to announce Highwood as a new Smas Worksafe client.
Highwood was founded over 30 years ago with a commitment to acquire land selectively and build sensitively and sustainably whilst setting benchmarked standards of design and construction.
As a company dedicated to building homes, communities and futures, Highwood has delivered an extensive portfolio of distinctive housing projects that are underpinned by sustainable development.
Announcing their new partnership with Smas Worksafe, Highwood said:
Smas Worksafe accreditation is nationally recognised and demonstrates Highwood’s commitment to safe working as well as giving main contractors confidence in our competence by meeting core SSIP criteria. The accreditation gives us full access to a highly qualified team of Health & Safety professionals and a dedicated portal to monitor compliance scores and other key assessment data.
Terry Oliver, Health and Safety Manager at Highwood said:
“We’re very happy to announce our partnership with the UK’s SSIP scheme of choice. Acknowledging that we’re fortunate to already have a professional and resourceful supply chain, it continues to be an objective that all prospective contractors share this same ideal.’”
The move means that all contractors working on or applying for tenders with Highwood will be required to hold an SSIP certificate issued by Smas Worksafe.
Ricky Couling, Head of Key Accounts at Smas Worksafe said: “We’re proud to be the SSIP scheme of choice for Highwood and we’re looking forward to supporting them to ensure a high level of Health & safety compliance. Highwood shares our same commitment to Health & Safety and it’s great to welcome them to the Smas Worksafe family.”
