We’re proud to announce that Smas Worksafe has partnered with civil engineering company MV Kelly as their dedicated supply chain and Health & Safety managers.

Founded in 1995 by father-son duo Vince and John, MV Kelly has grown into a thriving business, working alongside some of the largest developers in the UK. Operating out of Solihull, with eight regional offices and 250+ working sites, their group continues to expand year on year. As the UK’s largest buyer of Hitachi construction equipment, their fleet of machines is estimated to grow by over 20% before the end of the year, boosting their outreach and capabilities.

Sarah Duffy, SHE Operations Director for MV Kelly, had this to say about the partnership:

“Our commitment to Health & Safety excellence remains unwavering and our collaboration with Smas Worksafe only supports that.

As our chain of supplier and subcontractors continues to grow, they will support us in maintaining our high standards, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and shared accountability. Their support will also help streamline the compliance processes not only for us but those we engage with.”

From 31 October 2025, any contractors wishing to work with MV Kelly will need to hold a valid Smas Worksafe SSIP certificate.

Ricky Couling, Head of Commercial at Smas Worksafe, commented:

“We’re proud to welcome MV Kelly as Smas Worksafe’s latest client. MV Kelly are not only a Health & Safety conscious company, but an environmentally conscious one, too. Their fleet rotation initiative ensures they’re always working to the best possible standards of emissions regulations, and we’re delighted to be able to work alongside them on their mission.”
