It is with great excitement that we announce our latest partnership with R&C Williams, one of the Midlands Leading Public & Civil Engineering companies with over 60 years of experience.
Established in 1957, at the base of the Spaghetti Junction in Birmingham, R&C Williams’ commitment to quality construction has allowed them to work with a vast array of clients, including Egis, Kier, and Birmingham, Leicester, and Warwick city councils. From humble beginnings as a two-man operation, they now bring a wealth of experience in the care and construction of bridges, highway maintenance, drainage work, and more.
Smas Worksafe is delighted to partner with R&C Williams as their dedicated SSIP provider, helping to support and manage their supply chain. As a result, all contractors involved in R&C Williams operations will be required to hold a valid SSIP certificate with Smas Worksafe moving forward.
Alex Colesby, Compliance Manager for R&C Williams, had this to say: “The compliance of our supply chain partners is such a crucial aspect of how we deliver our work, therefore we are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Smas Worksafe. We believe now is the right time to collaborate with a leading SSIP accreditation provider and we are convinced this partnership will ensure that our evolving supply chain continues to adhere with R&C’s high standards of health, safety and compliance out on site. Smas will provide us with greater visibility and control over our supply chain across all our projects, which is critical to our business as our portfolio of works continues to expand and diversify. We firmly believe this partnership will reinforce our reputation for delivering exceptional service to our clients and we are excited to further strengthen our excellent working relationships with our supply chain partners.”
Ricky Couling, Head of Commercial at Smas Worksafe, commented: “We are proud to begin this partnership with R&C Williams. As a civil engineering company, we know how important it is to make sure everything runs smoothly, and we’re delighted to now be a part of helping achieve that. Their safety-first approach aligns perfectly with Smas Worksafe’s values, and we look forward to helping them continue their amazing work supporting communities all across the Midlands.”
