Smas Worksafe is proud to announce its new partnership with Transform Housing & Support.

From 31 March 2026, all contractors wanting to work with Transform will need to hold valid Worksafe certification (SSIP). This will ensure safety and consistency across Transform’s entire supply chain.

Over the last 50 years, Transform Housing & Support have helped more than 30,000 vulnerable or homeless individuals find shelter and gain independence across the south and south-west of England. With accommodation including hostels, shared houses, or self-contained flats, Transform provide both short and long-term solutions, working alongside local councils to provide security and shelter.

Kevin Stephens, Strategic Project Manager of Transform Housing, said: “We want to ensure that the contractors which we work with will support us in providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for everyone we work with – this includes our clients, colleagues and contractors. We work with Smas Worksafe to maintain our approved contractors’ list and ensure that our contractors, where necessary, have SSIP certification (Safety Schemes in Procurement Certification). This gives us the assurance that our contractors meet minimum health and safety requirements.”

Ricky Couling, Head of Commercial at Smas Worksafe, commented: “Smas Worksafe is very proud to be working alongside Transform and supporting their incredible work. Worksafe certification is Smas Worksafe’s Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certification, assessing contractors on their Health & Safety management. We’re excited to get started and help Transform change the lives of even more people.”
