Since 1978, Whitehead have provided a wide range of services to communities across the Southwest and South Wales. For nearly 50 years, they have provided construction, electrical, maintenance, and installation services to schools, hospitals, apartment complexes, and even iconic English Heritage sites.
Whitehead puts responsibility at the core of all their operations, whether that’s social, economic, or environmental responsibility. As a result, in line with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2022, they have partnered with Smas Worksafe.
Nigel Williams, Commercial Director of Whitehead Building Services, has said:

This enhances our commitment to creating safe environments, not only for our own employees, but for all our suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.”
From 24 April 2026 onwards, contractors wishing to work with Whitehead will require Health & Safety certification from Smas Worksafe. The level of certification required depends on the level of risk each contractor is involved in. For example, contractors working with high-risk buildings (multi-storey residential complexes, hospitals, army bases etc.) will need the Common Assessment Standard through the Worksafe Pro package.
