A word from our partner
“We are excited to announce a new strategic partnership with Smas Worksafe. A core value at Whitehead Building Services is our commitment to Health & Safety, with “Work Safe: Home Safe” representing a company-wide, site-based initiative to ensure all our staff return home safely each working day.
With this collaboration with Smas Worksafe, we are strengthening and streamlining the management of our safety protocols with our evolving supply chain. Your certification questions answered
Check out our frequently asked questions below, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there’s something we’ve not answered, or if you have any further queries.
If you’ve been asked to get Health & Safety certification, it’s because the client you’re working with wants all of their suppliers to meet or exceed the same recognised Health & Safety standards.
Whitehead Building Services are asking contractors to gain certification based on their individual risk profile. This could mean that your business is involved in projects that require a greater level of financial or physical risk. For example, if you do any work with high-risk buildings (multi-storey residential complexes, hospitals, army bases etc.) then you will need the Common Assessment Standard through our Worksafe Pro package.
Simply note down your details in the form above, and we’ll be in touch. Once the process begins, you’ll be required to show evidence that you meet the necessary criteria, but we’ll be there to help you every step of the way.
Your Smas Worksafe certification will last for 12 months before you need to renew it. We currently have a 95% renewal rate, and we’ll be there to help with the process however we can.
We work with organisations across the UK to help them assess, monitor, and improve their supply chains – ensuring contractors and suppliers meet the right standards. From Health & Safety to environmental and quality assurance, we simplify compliance and reduce risk to help build safer and more responsible supply chains.
If you’re already certified, we offer a Deem to Satisfy (DTS) package, which essentially passports you over from your existing provider to Smas, if everything is in order with your current certificate. You can find out more about DTS here.
