SMAS Worksafe add APL to their Affiliate Partners

SMAS Worksafe, one of the leading SSIP member schemes, are pleased to announce the partnership with The Association of Professional Landscapers.

The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) was formed to help consumers make an informed choice. Established in 1995, the APL, which is a specialist group of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and represents landscapers who have met a required standard of professionalism. Members of the Association are registered with the government endorsed TrustMark scheme and are regularly inspected and agree to follow our Customer Charter.

 

All APL members also hold appropriate insurances and have traded for a minimum of two years.

The APL provides homeowners with greater assurance when selecting a landscaper. As a customer, you can feel confident that the APL landscaper you have chosen has met prescribed professional standards. By choosing wisely, you can ensure that you are never caught out by a rogue trader, and the quality and standard of work will remain high at all times.

SMAS Worksafe are delighted to announce that we are now working with HarperCrewe to support their contractor management systems.

HarperCrewe draw on 30 years of industry experience, they focus on designing, building and marketing sustainable developments, combining flexibility of design and tenure. They have a fresh approach allowing them to work with landowners, investors and communities in a way that large housebuilders can’t. HarperCrewe aim to deliver innovative design, outstanding build quality, optimal returns and exciting spaces for people to enjoy – and landowners to be proud of.

As from the start of February 21, all contractors and suppliers working with HarperCrewe will be required to hold a valid SSIP certificate as a minimum requirement and to have that certificate registered with SMAS Worksafe.

SMAS and CK Civils Partnership

SMAS Worksafe are proud to announce a partnership with CK Civils

SMAS Worksafe are delighted to announce that we are now working with CK Civils to support their supply chain management systems. This will ensure that their suppliers have met SSIP Health & Safety requirements.  They have also taken the decision to make sure their suppliers are fully compliant in environmental, anti-bribery & corruption, quality management, business & finance and modern slavery through our preferred supplier package before commencing work.

CK Civils is an engineering and utility contractor based in the South East of the UK, working on projects such as smart metering, and mains repairs for Southeast Water on behalf of Clancy Docrwa, duct installation for Virgin and City Fibre as well as various civils projects across the South East for Kier, CVU & Volker Highways that involve paving, drainage, kerb laying amongst others.

Alongside adopting the SSIP ethos, CK Civils have also taken the decision to outsource the management of Stage 1 H&S assessments as well as management systems in Quality, Environmental, Financial, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and Modern Slavery policies and procedures to SMAS Worksafe.

SMAS Worksafe are delighted to announce that we are now working with Legal & General Homes, better known as L&G Homes to support their supply chain management systems and ensure all suppliers have met SSIP Health & Safety before commencing work on their sites.

L&G Homes are a subsidiary within the CALA Homes Group and are one of the UK’s oldest and most trusted financial services brands. Their objective in building a reputation as the leading provider of top-quality homes and offering first-class customer service is something that we at SMAS also rate in high regard, which is why we are delighted to form this partnership.

SMAS will be giving L&G all of the information they require about their sites to make sure compliance is of the highest level and going forward, all contractors and suppliers working with Legal & General Homes will now be required to hold a valid SSIP Certificate as a minimum requirement, which will be registered with SMAS Worksafe.
